We are one of the largest and most popular sources of mind mapping content and community in the world, and this gives us a truly unique insight into how people are using mind maps in a wide range of organisational contexts, and we bring this understanding to you through our training!
We focus on helping people harness the power of mapping in contexts that are relevant to their everyday lives at work. While we appreciate the more holistic aspects of mapping, we believe people need to see and understand it as a real-world tool rather than a nice theory.
We show you how mind mapping can be used to understand complex problems, make clear decisions, organise projects and information, facilitate innovation, and turn ideas into action. We do this using our own experiences, as well as numerous examples and perspectives that we have gathered from our extensive mind map library and community.
Yes. Biggerplate is a global community, and we aim to help people all over the world learn about mind mapping! Let us know where you are, and we will figure out a way to get our training delivered to you and your team.
We are able to train you and your team to use any of the following mapping software: MindManager, iMindMap, XMind, MindGenius. The choice depends on which you would prefer to have installed and used within your organisation, or what you already have installed. We do not sell software, and can give you impartial advice if you are still trying to decide which mapping software is best for you.
If you have a suitable space at your office, then we can deliver our training there. If not, we can help you to find a suitable location nearby. We think training has a far greater impact when it takes people out of their normal office environment, so we recommend trying to find an external venue wherever possible.
Venue costs are not included in the price of your training, as they vary greatly, and it’s up to you where you want to do the training!
All training prices quoted include the delivery of training and all workshop and support materials.
Venue and refreshment costs are not included in the prices quoted.
If your training is delivered in the UK, then no additional travel expenses will be added.
For training outside of the UK, additional travel expenses may be charged at cost price. We will always keep these costs to an absolute minimum, and will never charge you more than the real costs incurred. And don’t worry, we travel economy class… which sucks.
All expenses will be identified and discussed with you prior to booking, meaning you can be 100% confident about the true cost of your training before you book with us.
Yes. We strongly believe in trying to help younger generations get to grips with mind maps, as we know it can have a very positive impact on learning and academic achievement. In fact, Biggerplate was originally established as a resource for students and education professionals!
We do not have a standard product for delivery in schools, colleges or universities yet, but we are always happy to discuss opportunities to talk with young people, and can often think of very creative ways to make this very low cost or even free!

Yes. If our standard products do not quite fit with what you require, we will be happy to help you design a training program that suits your needs. We can cater for larger groups, long-term programs, regular training, or context-specific training (e.g. mind mapping for a specific job type). Not at the moment unfortunately. We are working on putting something together, but it will be a little while before we offer this.
If you are just one person, why not have a think about other professionals you know and see if you can gather together a group of like-minded people that we can come and deliver training for? Use your network to find others that might be interested in this learning, and get a group together for a training day. It could be a great way to experience the training with a mixed group that has a shared interest in mapping!
First and foremost, it is important for them to understand that you are not just learning ‘how to mind map’ for the sake of it – you will be learning how to use mapping to improve numerous everyday tasks and processes.
