“Justice cannot and should not be neutral.” This is pretty much the way Aristotle would sum up his idea of justice. Firstly, justice cannot be neutral because every single rule promotes a certain idea of life. Think about Rawls and Kant. Both wanted to promote rules and laws that are neutral regarding the “good life.” Aristotle says that is not possible. There is no such thing as a neutral law. Even “neutrality” can be regarded as a value that we want promote and defend, making us reject ideas and philosophies that are not neutral.
