The oldest known Indo-European languages are the Anatolian languages, spoken in Anatolia, present-day Turkey. Nine Anatolian languages are known from written sources: Hittite, Luwian, Lycian, Lydian, Carian, Palaic, Pissidian, Mylian and Sidetic. All Anatolian languages are now extinct.
