This mind map briefly summarises the role of each hat in Edward de Bono's 'Six Thinking Hats' book. 'Six Thinkings Hats' is a very powerful management thinking tool which can be used to control the thinking process during events such as meetings, discussions and lessons. During an event where thinking is required by a group, one hat is chosen and everyone must 'wear' the same coloured hat so that 'parallel' thinking can take place. Then after, another hat may be chosen to be worn by all and the process repeated until all the necessary hats have been worn.
