Accessible Learning with Mind Maps

Traditional teaching/learning tools and methods do not suit all learners in the same way, and do not cater adequately for neurodiversity. For students who learn differently because of a disability/learning difficulty, assistive technology can offer great alternatives, allowing those students equal access to their curriculum and enabling them to maximise their potential. In this video, Deirdre Madden (University College Cork) outlines several uses for mind maps in education. Whilst beneficial for almost all learners, this webinar will focus on mind mapping to meet the needs of students who have dyslexia, dyspraxia/DCD, students who are Deaf/hard of hearing and students with memory, processing or stamina difficulties.
