You can use mind map software in numerous ways as I and also Philippe Packu (see his mind map on Biggerplate) have shown. To make maps, graphs, timelines and so on. Here it is shown that you can use iMindmap as a canvas not using any of the mind map features iMindmap has. The result is still a mind map.

Thanks! I used to do that myself brainstorming using post-its. It must have been the inspiration for this mind map. I really like to stretch the possibilities of the mind map software and see whether it still results in a mind maps (you can make excellent graphs using iMindmap, but they are not mind maps anymore: timelines made by iMindmap however still have feautures of mind maps as has this application).

It's always refreshing to see those creations : unusual yet retaining the spirit of mapping. It reminds me of a brainstorming technique involving post-its : everybody writes an idea on a post-it, which are subsequently grouped on a blackboard according to their relationships.
