LEADERSHIP vs MANAGEMENT

The age old question of what are the differences between Management & Leadership has been explored by many. This iMindMap attempts to sum up some of the key research findings in this area. It focuses on process and activities rather than qualities and approaches ie it talks about the What not the How. In my opinion everyone in business (and arguably in their personal lives too) plays both leadership and management roles to  a lesser or greater degree. Being able to differentiate between what is a leadership or a management role or activity is half the battle in developing and deploying the relevant skills in the right proportions for the circumstances you find yourself!
