From Mind Map to Kanban

Faizel Mohidin discusses his "Mind Map to Kanban" project which combines Mind Maps with Lean and Agile project and task management methods. Drawing on the work of Michael Gerber in the E-Myth Revisited, Faizel shows how mind mapping can help managers, entrepreneurs, and technicians to better understand and organise their ideas visually, before moving into a more linear, Kanban approach for implementation. After experimenting in his own work with Agile, Lean, and Kanban methodologies, Faizel developed a "Personal Kanban" approach for himself, leveraging mind map templates to help with the 'Ideas' phase, building out 'Story Maps' to create clearer information and actions that can be fed into a Personal Kanban Board to help with workflows, task management, and implementation backlogs.
