Visual Strategy Network: Nov 29th 2011

These are my notes from a meeting of the Visual Strategy Network group on the 29th November 2011. The focus of the day was "Uncertainty and Risk in Strategy Development". We looked at the ways that risk and uncertainty are often ignored or (somewhat deliberately) overlooked when constructing strategic roadmaps, and the benefits of making risks visible, and an integral part of the planning process. We also discussed at length the degrees to which natural human behaviours can influence discussions around risks and uncertainties, and the skills required to effectively manage a collaborative effort at working through these. Another excellent meeting of this highly engaging network of people!
