This is a mind map that I created whilst studying toward an MA in Art History with The Open University. The module A841 was called 'Themes and Issues in Contemporary Art History'. The module discussed the notion that contemporary art history is not merely concerned with the historical study of art as it once was. Now, art historians research, discuss and evaluate the history of art itself and its own procedures. These procedures lead the contemporary art historian to consider cultural and political developments amongst other things.
