Switch: How to Change Things when Change is Hard by Chip Heath & Dan Heath

The Heath brothers provide a straightforward approach to implementing change in an organization or your personal life. A rider on an elephant provides the perfect metaphor for the internal struggles to change. Three steps are identified that must work together to implement change:
1. Direct the Rider,
2. Motivate the Elephant, and
3. Shape the Path.

Elephant Metaphor from Jonathan Haidt (University of Virginia psychologist) in his book "The Happiness Hypothesis"
