A friend of mine introduced me to
Lynda.com. When he first mentioned the resource , I was like, “What is
Lynda.com?” He said, “It’s a great site for learning software.” So, on my friend’s recommendation I gave it try. I sampled a few free videos and was very impressed with the engaging instructors and overall quality of the instructional design. I immediately became a member.
I decided to create a mindmap to help me better organize and access the content of
Lynda.com. With mindmapping software you can create links to websites. So I created a mindmap that enables you to quickly locate any
Lynda.com course directly from the mindmap. This way instead of navigating around their site to locate a course, you can simply use my mindmap on your laptop (or on your iPad using iThoughtsHD) to access a course.
To find a
Lynda.com course using my mindmap:
1. Click the first letter in the name of the software you are looking for (such as ”E” for Excel).
2. The sub-topic branch for that letter will open and you’ll see the available software courses.
3. Click on the
Lynda.com icon next to the software name and you will be taken to those courses on the
Lynda.com site.
