The Need for Agile Maturity

How Agile Maturity is Needed: Agile Business Conference 2012 Keynote Address Over the coming years the challenge will be for businesses to benefit from the revolution in social media, mobile devices, SaaS, the Cloud and ‘Big Data’. Customers will expect far more sophisticated and integrated services, knowledge and adaptability from the organisations they deal with, so the technology used will become a key differentiator for the business – hence the term used by Forrester: ‘Business Technology’. Given this ever more dynamic business environment, the development process must also be dynamic and supportive of change and Agile is part of the answer. This keynote will discuss how Agile Maturity is needed, comparing it with the current reality of software development in many organisations, and it will challenge us – the Agile community – to continually improve what we do and so continue the evolution.
