The big idea: Mesopotamia

This is my son's mind map on the one big thing he learned about his Mesopotamia unit. Instead of just writing a paragraph about what he learned, I had him focus on one thing and then I challenged him to make the necessary geography, politics, religion, science, and economics (he calls this GRAPES) connections. He chose the concept of economics and debt. These are two concepts that he directly is affected by today.
